Access for persons with disabilities

As prescribed by German law (Federal Disability Equality Act [BGG] and Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance [BITV 2.0] to implement the European directive (EU) 2016/2102), this Website has been designed in such a way as to make it accessible to persons with disabilities.

Status of compatibility with the requirements

The requirements to make the website accessible for persons with disabilities are prescribed in BITV2.0 (§§3 paragraphs 1 to 4 and §§4) and are based on §12 d BGG. To the best of our knowledge and belief, the Website design aims for making it accessible to persons with disabilities in accordance to the proof criteria of BITV 2.0. The website is still under development and it is not ensured that the website fulfills all requirements yet. In the future, the National Center for Environmental and Nature Conservation Information or external experts will perform a website evaluation based on the proof criteria. Please read the Declaration on accessibility [Link] for further explanations.

Legal Notes

The National Center for Environmental and Nature Conservation Information assumes no liability for the actuality, correctness, completeness or quality of the information provided. Liability claims against the Centre arising from the use or non-use of the information provided or from the use of incorrect or incomplete information are fundamentally excluded, unless the National Center for Environmental and Nature Conservation Information is guilty of willful intent or gross negligence. All offers are subject to change and non-binding. The National Center for Environmental and Nature Conservation Information reserves the right to change, supplement or delete parts of the pages or the entire offer without prior notice or to cease publication temporarily or permanently.

Insofar as the provided information contains legal provisions, official notices, recommendations or information, it has been compiled with the greatest possible care. However, in the event of any ambiguities, only the current official version as published in the official promulgating organ intended for this purpose shall apply. Any legal notices, recommendations and information are not legally binding and do not constitute legal advice in individual cases. The information cannot and should not replace legal advice. In the case of specific legal questions, separate specialist legal advice should always be sought. The mere use of this website does not constitute a contractual relationship. All legal disputes arising from or in connection with this website are subject exclusively to German law. The place of jurisdiction is the registered office of the Federal Environment Agency.

References and links

In the case of direct or indirect references to external websites (‘hyperlinks’) outside the area of responsibility of the Federal Environment Agency, a liability obligation would only come into force in the event that the Federal Environment Agency is aware of the content and it would be technically possible and reasonable for the National Center for Environmental and Nature Conservation Information to prevent use in the event of illegal content. The Federal Environment Agency hereby expressly declares that no illegal content was recognizable to us on the linked pages at the time the links were created. The Federal Environment Agency has no influence whatsoever on the current and future design, content or authorship of the linked pages. We therefore hereby expressly distance ourselves from all content of all linked pages that have been changed since the links were created. This applies to all links and references on our own website as well as to third-party entries in guest books, discussion forums, link collections and mailing lists. Liability for illegal, incorrect or incomplete content and in particular for damages resulting from the use or non-use of such information lies solely with the provider of the page to which reference is made and not with the person who merely refers to the respective publication via links. Third-party websites that can be accessed via external links may not be barrier-free.

Access data is stored for Requested contents from this website. This is data about the page from which the file was requested, the name of the requested file, the date, time and duration of the request, the amount of data transferred and the access status (e.g. file transferred, file not found). No personal data is collected (for more information, see data protection [Link]). This stored data is analysed exclusively for statistical purposes and is not passed on to third parties under any circumstances.

Copyright and labelling law

The National Center for Environmental and Nature Conservation Information endeavours to observe the copyrights of the graphics, sound documents, video sequences and texts used in all publications, to use graphics, sound documents, video sequences and texts created by himself or to use licence-free graphics, sound documents, video sequences and texts. All brands and trademarks mentioned on the website and possibly protected by third parties are subject without restriction to the provisions of the applicable trademark law and the ownership rights of the respective registered owners. The mere mention of a trade mark does not imply that it is not protected by third-party rights.

The copyright for published works created by the National Center for Environmental and Nature Conservation Information remains solely with the Center themself and the employees working on the pages. Unless otherwise indicated, works, graphics, sound files, video sequences and texts on this website created by the Centre itself are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International licence.

Unless otherwise labelled, the use of data within the meaning of § 12a EGovG is permitted. The data and metadata provided may be reproduced, printed out, presented, modified, processed and transmitted to third parties for commercial and non-commercial use, in particular they may be merged with own data and data of others and combined to form independent new data sets and integrated into internal and external business processes, products and applications in public and non-public electronic networks.

When using the data, the Federal Environment Agency has to be referenced as source. Changes, edits, new designs or other modifications must be labelled in the source citation with a note stating that the data has been changed.
